Leadership, to Budh, means more than just giving directions or making decisions. Budh’s leadership journey took a major turn when he became the Director of Renewd. Taking over that role was not only about managing a business but also about shaping its future. It required making strategic decisions, guiding a team through change and ensuring that the company’s vision stayed strong. This experience taught Budh that true leadership is about responsibility – to the people, the purpose and the progress of the organisation.
His leadership style is deeply influenced by the values he grew up with – integrity, accountability, collaboration and empathy. Watching his parents, he learned the importance of involving others in decision-making and treating everyone with respect. This formed the base of his Democratic and Servant Leadership style, where he believes in working with people, not above them.
One of the toughest decisions Budh faced as a leader was restructuring parts of Renewd to match the company’s long-term goals. The business was growing, but systems and roles needed change. It was difficult, but Budh led with honesty and empathy – making sure his team understood the reasons and felt supported throughout the process.
In times of uncertainty or change, Budh focuses on staying calm and controlling what can be controlled. He communicates openly, even when all the answers are not clear. His strength comes from his values, his vision, and the support of family and friends who keep him grounded.
Budh journey revolves around driving growth through new ideas and taking difficult decisions. He is most proud of transforming Renewd, both as a business and as a team.
For Budh, leadership is a continuous journey. He keeps learning, adapting and improving.
