“Leading from Within, Rise With Your Kickass Buddies”
For Preetah, leadership starts with self-leadership. She believes true leadership is about knowing yourself, taking responsibility for your choices and acting with honesty, not just to meet the expectations of others. Without self-leadership, any title is weak. With it, you can lead with clarity, strength and purpose.
Her first lesson in leadership came during the hardest moment of her life. The first time she drove a new car was not for joy, but to bring home her father’s body after his death. In that moment of deep pain, she realised no one was coming to save her. She had to find strength inside herself and keep going. Leadership, she learned, is a choice we make – especially in difficult times.
For many years, Preetah built a strong career in banking and fintech. She had the title, the money and the recognition. But inside, she felt empty. She realised she was living by other people’s definitions of success. So, she made the hardest decision of her life: to leave her secure career and follow her true calling – helping people lead themselves.
Starting over in a new country and a new field was not easy. But Preetah surrounded herself with supportive people she calls her “Kickass Buddies”. They gave her courage when the path felt uncertain.
Today, Preetah is a global self-leadership coach and a UN Representative. She helps people remove the masks of expectation and step into their real power. Her three core values are authenticity, growth and community. She leads by example – showing up as herself, learning continuously and creating spaces where others can rise too.
Preetah’s leadership style is empowering and transformative. She listens deeply, challenges people kindly and guides them to discover their own strength. She believes leadership is not about titles, but about courage, honesty and responsibility.
Through her Kickass Buddy Movement, Preetah helps professionals overcome burnout, perfectionism, and isolation by fostering authentic connections and empowering collaboration. Her mission is To build a world where no one leads alone.
Her advice to future leaders is simple: “Lead yourself first. Don’t chase titles — build self-awareness and resilience. Surround yourself with Kickass Buddies who lift you higher. Real leadership begins from the inside out.”
